Anyway, this race is often sent in to mediate hostile situations. Their disarmingly cute look is the result of some late evolutionary changes in the races genetics. This is probably due to selective breeding practices within their culture. In other words, this race not only practices pre-arranged marriages, but the arrangements are based on which pairing would produce the most aesthetically pleasing offspring.
As a race of mediators, they know how to do their job quickly and efficiently. In their area of the universe, their success rate is close to 98%, leaving only the most stubborn of races as their failures. Though their tactics are heavily based on their charm, they also maintain a level of social wit that is used to their advantage when the opportunity presents itself.
They are also a rather small race. The average adult stands no taller than a baby Earth kitten. Their muscles are very dense, allowing them the ability to keep up with their larger employers who refuse to carry them. It also allows them to quickly dodge the stray foot step that could crush them.
As a society, they tend to keep to themselves. Family groups very rarely mingle with other members unless a promising breeding mix is determined by both parties. They also have no reason to interact with each other as every family is self sufficient, growing their own gardens and constructing their own homes. They have no empire; they all live on just one planet that is located in the middle of their universe’s arm break. They also have no local government of any form. This is kind of ironic given how social the creature is outside of its own race.
