Information: Al insisted that I go over this file with him for some reason. And I’m starting to see why. However, to make sure that I don’t fall behind on my work, I’m posting the information of it this morning before we continue with any more of this little quest of his.

This race of sentient simians has an interesting past. Mostly it is because there is no past. They’ve done their own personal research into their tribal cultures and even tried to figure out how their wild animal counterparts would have behaved in their pre-sentient state. This is very similar to what some of us humans are doing with our own race, only the Zandors seem to have figured out what their entire evolutionary tree looks like while we still have a missing link or few to find.

What has been recorded is that they were a friendly group of aliens, often befriending other primitive tribes of their own kind through song and the occasional trade efforts. Eventually, they began to trade technology and advanced through the various ages as we know them--Iron Age, Bronze Age, and the like--rather quickly. As a civilized culture, the more industrious sect continued to trade among themselves for goods while another religiously looked into their past. When it was clear that they would not get an answer on their own, they looked for the stars for help.

It was at this point where they ran into some trouble. Their quest lead them to encounter some very angry races who distrust strangers. Very few alliances were made, and their home world was often attacked. Those that could leave the planet were scattered along the belt of the galaxy their planet was located. The last known piece of information is that their planet was abandon and the race was scattered among the stars.

However, and this is a very interesting if scary amendment to the file, Al discovered a recording of the Zanders’ last known actions in their area of the galaxy. They apparently were pushed all the way to the Galactic Core where the planets are said to be completely uninhabitable by any living creature. That is, in some form of subtle implication, a race does live at the center of the galaxy that is neither dead or living. And the Zanders fell victim to them. While a few escaped with their brains still in tack, as indicated by the recording, the majority of them were assimilated into this mysterious race.

With even fewer numbers now in the galaxy, they have developed their own cybernetic prosthetics that help fool this seemingly aggressive race of creatures that protect the Galactic Core with brute force.

And Al wants to contact them! Can you believe it?!
