Duo

Vehicle Type: Space
Information: Designed by pirates and smugglers, this space craft features a large central cockpit with intuitive controls for those quick changes in flight. It is equipped with a Wormhole Key in order to make large jumps across the galaxy for those who wish to create a large gap between themselves and those that want them dead. If escape is not an option, a second cockpit with a mounted gun is available for use, either by another crew member or the auto-fighter option. The gun features a 360o rotation with a 45o pitch for the gun.

Most space races use this ship in a “Gun and Run” tactic where the pilot will chart the quickest getaway route while a gunner snipes of anyone pursuing them.

Zander Contacted

To be perfectly honest, I didn’t expect this to happen so soon.

Last night before I left, Al came flying down the hall. Literally. He has wings, remember? He was moving at such speed that it surprised me, especially for flying indoors. He claimed that someone in our SETI department found a Zander colony and made contact. I don’t remember ever seeing him so excited about anything before, but he pulled me with one of his four arms down the hall. Thankfully, my weight prevented him from being able to lift the both of us into flight.

When we got there, the Zander looked to be rather annoyed. Apparently, he was put on hold for the better part of 15 minutes and is of the impatient type. We must have contacted the “Time is money” kind of Zander instead of the “I would like to know more about my past” variety.

Long story short, the information he gave us was not one Al wanted to hear. Our Zander contact said that while in space, they came in contact with a religious alien race that pointed them towards a race of psychics on the far side of the galaxy past the Galactic Core. This race is said to not only be able to read minds but can see into parallel universes. They view these alternate realities as a form of entertainment and are continually fascinated by what would have happened if one small change occurred in any timeline. This ability, supposedly, also gives them a kind of psychic hindsight that is used to ensure they continue growing down the right path of peace. So if anyone knows what has happened to Al’s home planet, it would be this race.

Unfortunately, the Zander we talked to didn’t catch the name of the race, so we will just have to pay extra close attention to any aliens we may have on file that have a psychic ability that falls into this description.

Ship of Secrets

Vehicle Type: Sea
Class: R
Armor: 30%
Threat Level: 30%
Speed: 40%
Information: There’s more myth than fact about this ship, which has become the center of death rituals for some cultures that share a similar view. It is believed that the ship carries the souls of the dead to the other side where they are reborn in a parallel universe and continue to live their life in a new form. Variations of this story include the souls being sent to other worlds without death being a ticket onto the ship.

It is a rarely sighted ship, but there seem to be a lot of paintings and small-scale replicas made of the ship.

Bull Ship

Vehicle Type: Space
Information: An usually designed space ship that got its name for its bull-shaped horns. These horns normally are used for smuggling, but how anything can fit in them is up to only those who are familiar with the space craft to know. It features duel cockpits for when you have to gun-and-run.

The Fool's Gold

Vehicle Type: Air
Class: E
Armor: 18%
Threat Level: 68%
Speed: 14%
Information: The story behind this aircraft is that it was the result of a bet between four major trade companies. Each founder were friends with the other, and they decided to hold a contest to produce the most magnificent flying machine ever seen. They all submitted prototypes that were ready for mass production, but none of them were able to fly.

The poorest member of the four then submitted the design for this aircraft, and all of his friends laughed at him. They called the machine impossible, aerodynamically impractical, and (ironically) a fool’s dream. What they didn’t know is that the design was already tested and proven to be capable of flight. Having the upper hand, the designer increased the stakes of the bet to include ownership and management rights to the other three companies. Naturally, they accepted.

And then lost the bet to this flying machine.
