Information: Brace yourself, because this myth is a real monster to wrap your head around.
The story of Althena’s Dragons is that there are four that she created from polar elements. A dragon from light and another from darkness where the first pair. The second pair were made from fire and water. These four dragons aided Althena in The Great Migration to a world called LUNAR. Each one of the dragons controls the element from which they were made from as well as guard a piece of Althena’s soul deep within their dungeon-like caves. Each dragon also has their own unique individual personality quirks.
The White Dragon lives in the Northern part of the world in a cave made out of ice. It was the dragon created from light and unofficially is the leader of the four. It is also the wisest of the four dragons. Gifted with a long life and a sound memory, it can remember and retell historical events as if they only happened hours ago. It guards the part of Althena’s soul that helped her protect the people of LUNAR from the harshest evils in the world. It likes to eat the tuna fish, specifically yellow-tail tuna.
The Red Dragon lives in the Southern part of the world among large active volcanoes. It was the dragon created from fire. It is predominately female, and believed to be responsible for ensuring that the race of dragons does not go extinct. It lays eggs and entrusts them to a few brave individuals of LUNAR to bring them to the other three dragons. Eggs fertilized by those dragons become the next generation of that dragon. Eggs kept in the den of the Red Dragon become the next generation of Red Dragons. It guards the part of Althena’s soul that helped her combat the evils encountered during The Great Migration. It likes to eat the tilapia fish.
The Blue Dragon lives deep in the oceans of the Eastern part of the world. It was the dragon created from water. Its personality can be best described as both lazy and extremely talkative. It guards the part of Althena’s soul that healed the dead world of LUNAR upon their arrival. This power extends to include the ability to heal the sick and the injured people of LUNAR. It likes to eat the mahi-mahi fish.
The Black Dragon lives in the desert wastelands in the far Western part of the world in a cave covered in diamonds and rare gemstones. It was the dragon created from darkness. It guards the part of Althena’s soul that helps maintain balance between the forces of good and evil. Unfortunately, this makes the dragon the first target to eliminate when a powerful being attempts to take over the world of LUNAR, as has been attempted several times in the past. It likes to eat the eel fish.
When the four dragons combine their offensive power, the destructive force is said to be able to destroy cities almost instantly. The myths only tell of one occurrence of this ever happening. That city was known as Pentagulia. It was destroyed due to its people praising an impostor who claimed to be the second coming of Althena.
Several other myths indicate that the four dragons share a common pool of other powers, such as shape shifting and control over certain natural elements. Baby dragons are described as looking like cats with wings and are able to talk within a month after they are hatched. An adult dragon is capable of disguising itself as a human. It uses this form during times of peace so it can entertain itself by people watching and, on occasion, save a few lives from criminal harm.

Information: There is a specific myth about a fifth dragon of Althena that she appointed before her first death and reincarnation. This dragon is known as the Star Dragon.
According to the myth, it lives in the space between the world of LUNAR and the dead world known as The Blue Star. It guards the link between these two worlds to ensure that no evil from The Blue Star finds its way to LUNAR and that no adventurous soul from LUNAR travels to the harsh and unforgiving world of The Blue Star.
Its true form is only known to those who have proven their worth and won its trust. Its most common form is as a crystal and ivory armored knight armed with a broad sword or axe. It is believed that its eyes are made out of sapphire crystal and can see directly into a person’s soul.
This myth resulted in a lot of ancient artwork, most of which documented in this file, that focuses on these sapphire eyes. After that civilization died out, the ruins in which these works of art were found have been the target for thieves wanting to make a quick buck. Most of the sapphires used in artwork representing the Star Dragon have all been stolen.
An amendment to the myth by the same writer suggests that these sapphires may be the key to the inner sanctum of the Star Dragon. It is here that the brave will see the gateway between LUNAR and The Blue Star as well as do battle with the Star Dragon for violating its sacred home by entering. The story indicates that several have tried and all but one have failed to best the Star Dragon in battle. The sapphires that were used to open the door to the Star Dragon’s Inner Sanctum were then hidden in the far corners of the world by the four dragons of Althena.
