Observation: A small elephant-like creature with a thinner built and longer legs. What is unique about this creature is the voice. There are three very different voice boxes hidden within the creature. Each voice is a different pitch and a different sound, but their combined volume is deafening to everything but this creature. Howls, barks, even a peep from this creature causes any near it to scatter out of fear that over exposure to the sound could damage their hearing.
From a safe distance, which is approximately a quarter of a mile, the sound is rather pleasant to the ears. During mating season, the air is filled with their songs, which register as screams to creatures unfortunate to be caught in the radius of their damaging bellowing.
Their voice is not the only defense it has. The slim built and solid muscle structure of the creature has turned it into a very effective battering ram. During moments of silence, which are rare by themselves, it can charge at a potential threat at bone-breaking speed. If the predator is taller than itself, this creature will aim for the legs. It specifically goes for what it can identify as the knees. If successful in taking away the threat’s mobility, it will then perform a death yell that renders the foe unconscious. It was reported that, upon closer examination of the battle, the death yell may have shattered the opponent’s ear drums and actually killed it.
Apparently, the person observing this creature never got close enough to their nests to observe their social habits. If he or she did, it’s not indicated or they may have forgot to report it.
