Glitch

Diet: Carnivore
Danger Level: 8
Social Ability: 9

Observation: This is the first creature that is on top of this completely unorganized pile of folders and binders on my desk?! I’m not sure if I should take this as a good or bad sign.

The person who reported and observed this creature said that this creature is apparently responsible for all the computer errors and social faux pas in the entire known universe. Hard to believe that such a cute thing could cause so much chaos.

The notes on this creature suggest that it has this ability thanks to a psychic brain located on the bulb on top of its head. The other two bulbs at the end of its antennas are used for triangulation. Or maybe what this person meant was allocation. It’s difficult to read the hand writing, which may be the power of this creature at work right now if this information is proven factual.

That’s right, the claim that it has a psychic brain is all theory. Nobody was able to capture a living specimen due to the design of the traps constantly failing! According to the documents, no matter how fool-proof the plan was, this creature was able to figure a way to make it fall apart. I consider this just dumb luck on the creature’s part.

Another interesting observation is a strange bone formation on the back. It has eight dull boney humps circling a larger one in the center of its back. This person’s notes hypothesize that it may have something to do with the positioning of the sun or moon given how this creature sleeps at night. The configuration may be symmetrical, but points towards the position of either of these two celestial bodies. Because one was never captured, it was also hypothesized that this may be a way to determine gender. Using mythology and religion as a foundation, those that face the sun are thought to be male while those that face the moon are thought to be female.

What has me curious are the feathers and the strange protrusions from this creature’s snout. There is nothing in the file that indicates what they are for, so it is my best guess that they were designed for a mating ritual or a some kind of social identifier. Many birds do this on Earth, mostly in small color differences too subtle for the human eye to notice. Given how monochromatic its color is, it wouldn’t surprise me if this turns out to be factual.

The last page of the file has a post-it note stuck to it saying that they lost contact with the observation team. Apparently, this happened while they were sending documentation of this creature becoming aware of the team’s presence in the area. The message itself appears to have been cut off, as half of the page is blank. Maybe this was the Glitches’ way of protecting itself? I guess nobody will know at this point.
