Information: So for the last ten days, Al has been pulling overtime and has actually found the file on the race described to us by our Zander contact over a week ago. He’s now off trying to get our SETI lab to contact them, but I don’t think we have the equipment to broadcast a signal that far across space.

Anyway, I went over the file with him last night when he found it. I had to drive back to work in order to do that at midnight, but I did go over it with him just to make sure he found the correct psychic. That’s kind of why I’m posting this later in the day than I normally would.

The stories of their psychic powers are true. They can see into both the future and past as well as into the alternate timelines that number into infinity. However, they did not always start out with this ability. The best explanation that has been concluded from their rather confusing history records is that their primitive form had an on-going mutation in their DNA that slowly developed a psychic ability. This mutation, at least in this reality, took the physical form of a third eye. While it doesn’t function as an eye, it behaves like one, and for the longest time, it was able to see into the minds of others. It wasn’t until they because a space race that the true nature of their psychic abilities were unlocked. It’s unclear as to how this occurred, but their records indicate it had something to do with seeing the planet for the first time from orbit.

Their culture is based on the idea that the entire universe is just one of many that are constantly in flux. The decisions we make, no matter how small, have a ripple effect that effect everything in ways that are normally too distant for us to understand. But their culture can see what effects these choices have on their relationships and will often take the path of less conflict or no path at all if they cannot find one to their liking. As a result, they are a race that likes to keep to themselves. Possibly because every potential contact has a strong likelihood of being a bad one. While their ability is far reaching and widely known in the galaxy, they are pretty cozy in their section of the galaxy.

At least we know where to find them. Angle 138.6o at 8,503.76 parsecs. And I’m pretty sure our technology isn’t that powerful.
