Observation: A feline that lives in high altitude mountain ranges where mineral rock is abundant. The crystals growing above its limbs and on its head are native to the region its den is found. Its dark fur allows it to blend into the shadows while appearing to look like the naturally forming crystals that grow on its den walls.
It is a very territorial creature by nature. It will growl and snap its jaws at anything that comes within one body length of its home that isn’t a family member or a potential suitor. If the creature lingers for too long, it will be attacked.
Cubs of this creature are taken care a near obsessive level of over-protectiveness by mothers. They are often restricted from leaving the dens until they are big enough to defend themselves.
Males and females take turn hunting if there is a family to be looked after. Their hunting ground is located at the foot hills of their den’s location, which are plentiful with herbivores of all kinds. Upon making a successful kill, the corpse is painstakingly dragged up to its den where it is consumed. It does this twice a day.
