Information: An obnoxious creature that only makes itself known on special occasions. A lot of tribal myths surround this creature, all of which seem to favor the obnoxious behavior as a sign of good fortune.
The myths indicate three levels of behavior in which to gage one’s fortune in life. If the creature appears and lingers on your property or around you for more than a day, it is considered a sign of good luck until it leaves. During this time, many trades become extremely profitable and harvests are described as unnaturally bountiful. Once the creature begins to snarl, it is seen as a sign that something great will come in the person’s future. This includes finding the love of one’s life or inheriting a vast fortune unexpectedly. The few that experience the third stage testify to an unnatural wailing from this creature that lasts for weeks. If one is patient enough to endure this display, it is believed that their good fortune will remain for the rest of their natural life and extend to their children’s lives.
One more rational myth claims this behavior is due to the fact that this creature is easy to make jealous. Its story is the only one that places words into the creatures mouth that mirror the levels of behaviors reported in the previous myths. It cautions the reader that bragging about this fortune will chase it away and severely damage any future good luck one may encounter.
