Observation: Essentially a horned turtle that has adopted an upright form of walking. Its shell since then has evolved into an armor-like design. This must have caused several mobility problems in the past, as the current generation of this creature has several areas between shell plates where the skin is exposed.
The hands and feet of this creature have adapted to a more amphibian look. Its muscle density is used to help give it a quick boost of speed that it wasn’t capable of as a quadruped. As a result of all these evolutionary changes, this creature as lost the ability to retract its limbs into the safety of its shell.
The horns pose the biggest mystery of them all. By all observations documented, it has no function. The creature doesn’t use it for mating or for combat or even when looking for food. It is my personal guess that it grew the horns to look more threatening to potential predators as a way to compensate the now-weaken shell.
