It’s been a difficult last four days. Five if you include the three-hour meeting I had yesterday. I’m surprised I was able to get sleep and then wake up this early to enjoy the only day off I have for the next several days.
As far as the updates go, I have been briefed on a new rating system which I am to use from this point onward in my blog. I’ll be posting more information about that next week. The rest of the week’s orientation will involve conduct and practice standards. Some real “hush-hush” stuff, so chances are I won’t be able to talk about it.
Some things I can tell you is that you can look forward to some new classified information to be declassified. The ones that got me excited were the ones involving alien technology! I hope you’ll find it as fascinating as I will.
As far as my new assistant goes, it appears that none of the races I posted about last week are them. I’ve meet each one during the last few days at various points, and while I will be working with them, none of them will be helping me around my new office. A shame, too, since I kind of got attached to our resident Quroack who is in charge of translating alien blueprints. Anyway, according to my supervisor, my assistant is updating his race’s file for me. But he’s also new here and has yet to undergo an interview process that all our alien employees undergo. It’s more of a personality and cultural thing rather a job interview. I’ve also been assigned to publish the information from the interview on the blog, so when I get that done, you guys will be able to get to know my assistant just as well as I will.
Well, that’s all for now. I’ll try to publish something next week, but for now I have a lot of heavy books to go through for the next week.
