Picarish

Diet: Herbivore
Danger Level: 4
Social Ability: 9

Observation: This small yellow bird is often seen hopping through fields of wild flowers eating sprouting weeds and dandelions seeds. As it hops through the fields, its wings catch pollen from the other flowers. When it stops to eat, the pollen is then transferred to surrounding plants.

Its small wings mean it cannot fly in the technical sense. If anything, it can glide in the same way an Earth chicken does when startled or thrown. It is also rather slow moving, possibly due to the fact that it only has one foot on which it hops.

Mating displays are rather adorable to witness. Males and females that cross paths during this time will sing songs to each other. If the songs match in pitch and harmony, the two build a nest on the spot and begin to snuggle close to each other. This snuggling motion is actually their method of conceiving. At the end of the day, an egg is produced. For the next six weeks, the parents take turns incubating the egg until it hatches.

Chicks are what makes a family unit for this creature. Both parents are responsible for raising and caring for the chick until they are old enough to fend on their own. When the chick leaves the nest, the family group dissolves back into just single party members.
