Observation: A predatory creature with a very interesting and mean hunting tactic. Its bright coloring and goofy expression are used to confuse its prey into thinking it can be trusted. By the time they figure out that all this creature wants to do is eat them, its too late.
Higher brain level creatures who are aware of this trick are in for a nastier tactic from this creature. It will try to make a conscious effort to befriend any creature that know all it wants is to have it for dinner. Once a friendship is formed, it will bide its time with the creature, often hunting other prey in the process to keep up appearances, before killing off its edible friend.
