Psoge

Diet: Omnivore
Danger Level: 12
Social Ability: 9

Observation: This creature has two heads, one facing towards the front and the other facing towards the rear. Both heads are very distinct in features, and yet the observer classifies it as a bird.

The two heads apparently work independently of each other while maintaining a symbiotic relationship. The forward head will eat and fend off what creatures it can, while the rear head will inform the other if any predator is trying to stalk it from behind. At the same time, the few feathers that the forward head has on its body are actually the rear head’s sensory organs which it uses in order to wake up the rear head. During the day, the rear head sleeps. At night, the forward head sleeps.

This means that the creature is never truly asleep in any sense of the word. With one head always awake, it has the ability to defend itself from any threat that it may encounter. This may be the reason behind this creature’s unusually high Danger Level rating.

Depending on which head is awake, it will walk normally (forwards) or backwards through an area. If both heads are awake, it is normally for combat or for scouting reasons. It is a mystery how the two heads actually communicate with each other.

Drawings of corpses of this creature show that both heads have their own brains as well, though the rear head is smaller than the forward head’s brain. It has a forked esophagus with an anus in the middle of its body between its legs. The rest of its internal organs seem to be relatively normal.

It should be noted that this creature lives on a planet that can be best described as a giant desert with very few places for water or plant life. Because of this harsh environment, the creature has evolved into a nearly featherless bird. I’m still kind of having a hard time believing that, personally.
